Story
The Problem
Across Africa, millions of people face emergencies they cannot afford. A hospital bill. School fees. A funeral. Traditional fundraising is slow, expensive, and often lacks transparency. Existing platforms charge high fees, sometimes up to 15 per cent, and take days to process withdrawals.
Our Solution
M-Seedly was built differently. We charge just 5 per cent, enough to cover payment processing, servers, and security. Withdrawals hit M-Pesa in hours, not days. Every campaign is reviewed by a real person before going live. Donors can see exactly where their money goes.
What We Have Achieved (Bootstrapped)
Built the entire platform from scratch, including crowdfunding, voting competitions, a blog, and a referral system. Integrated M-Pesa, card payments, and bank transfers. Served thousands of users across Kenya. Maintained 99.9 per cent uptime on shared hosting. Zero security breaches since launch.
Why We Need Your Support
We have been running on savings and sleepless nights. To take M-Seedly to the next level, we need:
Upgrade from shared hosting to VPS for one year: KES 20,000
SSL certificate renewal and security audit: KES 5,000
SMS notifications via Africa's Talking API: KES 15,000
Professional email service (Google Workspace): KES 25,000
Marketing and community outreach: KES 75,000
Total Goal: KES 150,000
What Your Support Means
KES 500 keeps the server running for a day.
KES 2,000 funds for SMS notifications for 100 campaign updates.
KES 5,000 covers a month of security monitoring.
KES 10,000 or more, and you are a founding supporter. We will feature your name on our "Built By Community" page forever.
Our Promise
Every shilling goes directly to infrastructure and service costs. No salaries. No offices. Just a platform built to serve. We publish monthly transparency reports showing exactly how funds are spent.
